My Soul Man

I know him intimately well,
have been looking for him all my life.
Now we're close, I can sense it,
to finally meet, again.
Him and I. No.
Him and i, equals, partners
completing, expanding, enhancing, supporting each other in every way.
I believe, our time has come. 
Don't you?
Preparing to be married for the rest of our lives therefore, is what I'm focused on these days.
May we live long and happily ever after as they say,
but mean it differently, in the best possible way, 
than Hollywood conveys.
I know one thing for sure,
The journey I'm still on, the last leg of it,
You, my dear, are there already
waiting for me at the destination where we shall meet. 

And yet,
I am the one on shore.
You are out at sea, searching for me.
Until it's destined from Above
I'm keeping my light.
